that we, as humans, feel differently. Not only do we look and see and sound different from each other, but we feel differently and we feel for each other in different ways, unpredictable, unexplainable ways. So that one may feel the passion, the attraction, the love for another, yet that other may not feel it as strongly or even at all.
How unfortunate that we can't love all the people who love us in the same way that they love us.

i have to be in a big place,
where i get a new zipcode when i move just across the river to the other side of the college campus,
cause its dreamy.

wooof!
finally the plans for london are starting to flow..
going to be doing some WWOOFing somewhere in the UK for two weeks before going to london, BUT WHERE?!
12 farms/holdings got back to me with a "yes, please come visit/work with us in september!" hoorayyy
but how do i decide which one will be best?
do i want to go to the one that is in scotland, because its SCOTLAND!...?
or the hare krishna community because it will be hella cool?
or the one that has a recording studio based out of their home "the hatch"?
wahhhhhhh or the one i originally wanted that is really primitive, a community of 8 people who live in benders with no running water and compost toilets and are learning to become self-sufficient?
eeeeeeee
i don't know.
hopefully i will know soon.
consulting the village green preservation society is not helping me decide..

livin' in the dollhouse with the summer dolls
welcome to the dollhouse.
complete with one second edition doll, no original dolls, one third edition doll, and three summer edition dolls, complete wardrobes and hair accessories for all.
meet the dolls.
EVY studies dance, serves at a restaurant in the famed Guthrie Theater, is a member of 1419 local artist collective where she participates in projects and helps put on events by the artists and students.
BRENT studies theatre arts and collaborative arts, teaches tennis to adults, and is also a member of 1419 artist collective.
MELISSA studies visual art and cultural studies, works in a photography portrait studio, and participates in poetry slam competitions.
EMILY studies english and social justice, is a member of students for a democratic society, and enjoys writing poetry.
A new mystery summer doll will be available soon!
The dolls are all independent and are usually here and there and everywhere. There are times when they all watch movies together as a family, and there are times when they will not know where other dolls are for a couple days at a time. They get along well and are like-minded people, living in the seward neighborhood of minneapolis where there is much art, culture, progressive people, eco-friendly households, co-operative businesses.
This is my summer.

dearest dad
Today people everywhere celebrate their fathers and father figures because fathers can be important mentors. I have seen a lot of really terrible fathers in the world, but I got one of the rare good ones, luckily. Some people rarely talk to their fathers about anything except the weather and the fact that the family dog had a seizure and died, but my dad and I, we talk about much more interesting things together--like the current economic trends and how silly consumerism can be, our disagreements about tactics for activism, and Ginger's newest fear of birds.
I'm not trying to brag about my dad, although he is worth bragging about. Without him I would be severely in debt at a young age, due to lack of money-management skills, and I would not yet have learned to see both sides of every situation. I think we have to notice those people in our lives who have such a positive impact on us and who we value so greatly for being a part of us. We have to take a moment, a breath, to think about those people and why we need them, why we have become who we are because of them, and who we might have become without them.
